Day two of holding the @ITLWorldwide twitter baton and I am feeling inspired! Clicking on the #proudofmyclassroom hashtag takes me to images and snippets provided by confident teachers who are not boasting, not fighting, not trying to outdo each other, they are simply sharing. Click here for the origins blog.
Simply sharing… that’s what sparked my thinking. That and the myriad of wonderful ideas filling my timeline. Pedagoo needs a Christmas party. My school has far too many big things going on this year to take on another Ashes’ project but I don’t need a school building to bring the magic of Pedagoo to you – I just need you to join in! So far this is where #proudofmyclassroom has taken my planning:
Date: Saturday 6th of December
Location: Newcastle somewhere… leave this with me. It will depend on the number of people that want to collaborate and celebrate.
Time: Afternoon sharing moving into evening celebration
What’s in it for us? Professional Development with a twist of Pedagoo positivity and a splash of celebration! This won’t be just another Teachmeet; this won’t be about smoke blowing, egos or arguments. There might be ‘big names’ there, it might be full of Jo Blogs… we will all be equal at this event. This will be a celebration of the profession where you can fill your stockings full of next year’s inspired ideas and develop your practice. ITL have promised us a limited edition goody bag and I’m sure there’ll be other prizes but, excuse the cheddar, we will all be winners if we make it happen!
If you are an educator of some description, able to travel to us or live just around the corner and are up for taking the tweets off the timeline, you’ll be made very welcome. If you want support with your confidence and would like to take part in a teaching event that encourages you to hold your head up high in real life, sign up below. This event is FREE. How it develops from here will depend on many factors but I guarantee you’ll leave smiling. If you are likely to pull out at the last minute, please don’t sign up. I want to arrange a venue that is just right whether there are three or three hundred attending.
